The Torments of Time
The Torments of Time

Yes, I disappeared for some time. Yes, I’ve been gone for more time than I’ve actually been here. But I haven’t stopped working. Not for a single day.

To be honest with you, I wasn’t happy with my work, I was always rushing, trying to finish things too quickly, only to have them feel unfinished in the end. Truth is you can’t help but rush, there’s work, there are bills, relationships, family… then there’s just plain old life and everyday problems… you try to make the most of your time, you protect it, invest it in what you need to do, but this thing could potentially take years to do… and so far it has. And it will take some more years to get to a point where perhaps I’ll be proficient enough to begin to convey the meaning that I want to put in my work. So be it. Your main job is to protect your dream, to keep it alive. It doesn’t matter if it takes 5 years, 10 years or 100 years, as long as you keep walking towards your goal you can’t fail. Do the best you can and do as much as you can. If you ever feel like you can’t go on, know that even if you give up, it won’t be any easier, the road is always long and hard, it doesn’t matter what you do and failure is the heaviest burden you’ll ever have to carry. So keep your dream alive and keep going, your failures and your successes lie within your own hands.
